Liner Installation:
A resin-impregnated liner is inserted into the damaged pipe (usually via access points like manholes or cleanouts).
Positioning the UV Light Train (Lightray):
Once in place, the Lightray UV light train—a robotic system with high-powered LED UV lights—is pulled through the liner.
UV Curing:
The LED lights activate the photo-initiated resin, curing the liner in place in a controlled, efficient manner. This solidifies the liner, creating a new, durable pipe within the old one.
Post-Cure Inspection:
CCTV inspection is often used to confirm proper installation and curing.
Fast Cure Time: UV curing can be completed in minutes rather than hours.
No Hot Water or Steam: Unlike traditional CIPP, this method doesn’t need boilers or steam trucks.
Low Energy Use: LED UV lights consume significantly less energy.
Environmentally Friendly: Less odor, less mess, and fewer emissions.
Long Lifespan: Cured liners typically last 50+ years.
